“Sekijitsu”

It means, quite simply, to place one day on top of another.

There is nothing glamorous about it. You wake in the quiet You prepare without saying much to anyone,including yourself The same route. The same treadmill. You add another da that looks almost identical to the last. A plain, uneventful sort of day. You try to live it just 0.1% more efficiently than the person you were yesterday. If anything changes, it is almost too small to notice. And yet, only the days gathered in this way make 42.195 kilometers just a little faster.
