Louder Than 11 is proud to present, “Threat Level Colombia”, a documentary about climbing in Colombia, South America, a cultural trip and climbing tour. A team of seven Americans consisting of Kara Caputo, Jon Glassberg, Jonny Hork, Ben Hoyt, Nic Sherman, Jordan Shipman, and Carlo Traversi spent two weeks around the capital city of Bogota, searching or new boulders, establishing first ascents, and soaking in some of the best nightlife on the planet.
Initially, our expectations going into the trip were apprehensive at best. We didn’t know what to expect when we planned the adventure and just assumed that we would be in danger throughout our experience. Our research was riddled with tales of muggings, kidnappings, and violence so we were prepared for the worst. We could not have been more wrong. We met some outstanding people who helped us experience Colombia in ways we never thought possible, showed us to the best climbing the country had to offer, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome in their homes and country.
Threat Level Colombia was more then just a climbing trip for a lot of us. It was an eye opener and we returned home with a warm feeling in our hearts, eager to make a return trip. This is the documentary about our journey to Colombia and the experiences we want to share with all of you in hopes of motivating you to make the trip to one of the best destinations around.
